550 at Lytle Park

Ohio Valley Electrical Services completed a comprehensive electrical renovation of the historic 550 Building in downtown Cincinnati, transforming it into a LEED Silver certified luxury apartment complex. This project involved installing a 2500-amp 120/208-volt service across 29 apartment units on four floors, while navigating the unique constraint of being built atop the Fort Washington Tunnel.

The 30,000-man-hour project included extensive prefabrication to expedite installation in the confined downtown location with zero laydown area. Our scope encompassed custom Lutron programmable lighting controls, a sophisticated fire alarm system (partnered with minority-owned Parks Electric), and high-end fixtures including a $20,000 designer lobby installation.

Additional elements included courtyard and streetscape lighting coordinated with the City of Cincinnati, powered security gates, and a breezeway connecting to the adjacent hotel requiring seamless integration of systems without disruption.
