Nitto Avecia

Ohio Valley Electrical Services completed a comprehensive electrical installation for Nitto Avecia. This $2.2 million, Class 1 Division 2 hazardous location tank farm expansion featured the installation of four specialized tanks with truck loading capacity, a 300-foot pipe bridge, an underground ground ring system, and sophisticated integration with existing infrastructure. Our team installed eight motors with custom built control panels, implemented comprehensive gas detection systems throughout the facility, and provided complete fire alarm coverage with 40 heat detectors—all while maintaining operational continuity in sensitive clean room environments.

The project showcased our technical versatility with installation of over 500 feet of 500 MCM copper feeders, a fiber network for system integration, 6,000 feet of heat tracing, and power distribution to 6 conditioning skids and 40 PLC-controlled lift stations. Our specialized work included lightning protection for the tank farm and three outbuildings, along with a comprehensive Arc Flash study conducted by our engineering department. Using Galvanized Rigid Conduit throughout the project our team delivered a fully functional, integrated, and safety-compliant system that seamlessly connects with Nitto’s existing infrastructure and meets all hazardous location requirements.
